Support Orphans At Uni

Updated: Mar 2, 2020

We have 4 students who have done well enough in high school to get accepted into a university program to study. One student, Emily just finished her third year while the others have just finished their first year. Each student is studying at Dagon University in Yangon through a correspondence program while living at the Mustard Seed Youth Development Centre. The cost for each student is approximately $AUD 1,000/year. University in Myanmar starts after equivalent to year 10 in Australia.

AMSOI is very grateful to God that all 4 young women are now fully sponsored to complete their 2020 university studies through kind donations from Mustard Seed friends in Oakseed Ministries in America. Furthermore, Christian families involved in this organization have indicated they would like to support the most of the girls for the remainder of their university program. Praise God for this!

We will be looking at other sponsorship opportunities for other young people who have qualified to get into a university program and also other vocational training (e.g. basic computer skills and English language courses).
